My Christmas was a Taipei Buffet

My husband and I tried many different dishes in Taipei.

We went into a tea house called ROOM FOR DESSERT (r4d). The toast and snacks were better than we expected. We also had spaghetti! Delicious!

Then we dined at 鳥鳥窩私房菜! The dishes were presented in a very attractive way! Click and take a look!

Oh, yes! We also had a great meal at DIAMOND TONY's 隨意鳥地方義大利餐廳. It was a nice place for dinner.

I love soup, especially the Chinese Herbal Soup! In this Taipei trip, we also tried 台北藥膳湯!
Of course, the little snacks in the street, too!

Well, the best part is that my PTH has improved a little! Smile!

My Day was a Noisy Dish-Washer!

My day was a noisy dish-washer! I tidied the flat and found that my husband piled up at least thirty computer and IT magazines. I urged him to throw them away. He tried his very best to convince me that they were important and worth taking some space at home. However, I always believe that magazines are the kind of books for reading only. We read and then throw them away. Well, we can recycle them too. Finally, he recycled a few! ! ! It is very unlikely that he will have a flip over them again! Hmm.. Anyway, I have my own plan. Shh...

My Day was Sunshine!

My day was sunshine although I did not go out and sit under the sun. I had a very late morning and it was very relaxing. Smile! I had a very good rest. I feel great! Now I am thinking about how to have enough sleep every day.

It is hard to understand why I can sleep for so long. Haha! It's like a bear needs honey. Well, perhaps, I should collect more honey in this vacation.

Do You Keep Your Diary?

I wrote diary when I was 14 years old. I stopped after a few months since I found that my mother was actually reading it.

When I reached 18, I started again with a fancy hard-cover diary. However, I couldn't keep it every day. Well, not everyd day is very eventful and it takes a high degree of discipline. I must admit that I spoil myself sometimes.

Now I decided to start all over again here. Hmm.. I will try to keep it as often as I can. If you have your own blog / diary. Post your link in the comment box and share with me.

Good Bye, My Primary School by Wan Wai Mei, Class 6C

Good Bye, My Primary School
Although there's no swimming pool
I love this school
And I will miss my classmates and teachers, too!

Lovely Miss Yip teaches us Chinese.
She likes reading "Goodies".
Joyful Miss Chan teaches us English.
Her favourite lunch is rice with tuna fish.
Clever Miss Chow teaches us Mathematics!
She always tells us things about logic.

I made a lot of friends.
Our friendship will not end.
It is as strong as a heavy-duty rubberband!

My Dear St. Patrick's School,
It's time to say Good Bye!
Even if I cry,
I hope you don't mind.

I WILL MISS YOU VERY MUCH !!!

Goodbye, My Primary School by Siu Long Ching Sammi, Class 6C

I will miss Miss Yip who teaches us Chinese.
She is nice and always says 'please'.
I will miss Miss Chan who teaches us English.
She likes to talk with children and eat tuna fish.

She likes playing magic although she is not artistic.

In my primary school, there is a library
where I can read many different kinds of stories.
Sometimes I will meet my friends, Bobby and Mary
who are more than just friendly.

My best friend is Kate
who is my classmate.
She is always late
and she likes to act in a play.

Goodbye, my primary school
where I cannot find a swimming pool.
I was very anxious
because i don't want ot leave St. Patrick's School

Group Poems by Class 6C

Our principal is Mr. Ko
who is very cool.
He always plays yoyo.
And he likes to read Co-co.
Now he is fifty years old.
And he likes to play tricks on Mr. So.

Our principal is Mr. Ko
who helps us to grow.
But he walks so slow.
We couldn't go camping but he still said 'Although'.

Miss Chow teaches us Mathematics.
She doesn't know how to play magic.
But she always tells us what is logic.
Although she is good at music.
She doesn't like to teach Frederick.

Miss Chow teaches us Mathematics.
She likes to say FANTASTIC.
She doesn't like to go for a picnic.
But she is very artistic.

My best friend is Sam
Who has a lot of pens.
He likes cooking with a pan.
And he has a friend called Ben.
He likes swimming in the pool
where the water is cool.
And he likes swimming with Winnie the Pooh.

My best friend is Sam.
And he always thinks about GEM.
But he sings like a hen.

Sam is my best friend.
We both like eating ham,
And we think our friendship will never end!

Miss Helen Wong by Ma Chun Kit Sam, Class 6C

Six years ago, I went into a room,
Where I had my finest Maths lesson.
My Maths teacher was Miss Wong.
She always said I was wrong.

But she was patient
And she wanted me to join the competition.
Once we went to a park,
That was the last time for us to travel
We were sad and anxious
Because Miss Wong was and is generous.
And we will miss her after a month.

Miss Wong by Man Lok Yee Mandy, Class 6C

Six years ago, I went into a room.
I had my first lesson at primary school.
I started to introduce myself,
‘My English name is Mandy!’
But others called me MONKEY!
I was very angry!
Then I saw a teacher
Who came from Canada.
She was very clever
But she had a makeup cover!
If she was more natural,
It would be much better!

Miss Wong was nice and patient.
Sometimes she was humorous and generous!
Once she trained us for drama,
She said ‘You are clever!’
Miss Wong, I’ll remember you forever!

Miss Disher by Sita Motwani, Class 6C

Three years ago, I went into a big castle
Where I had my first lesson at university.
I was shy and anxious,
So I became nervous.
Then I saw a woman with a smell of mint
Who was patient at every moment.
She was my English teacher.
Her name was Miss Disher.

Miss Disher always brings us happiness
But she has a sickness.
She cannot stand for a long time.
So we let her sit down all the time.
We always went with her for our lunch.
She said it was her brunch
Because she had no breakfast yet.

We asked her to have breakfast together when we met.

Miss Banker by Lam Ho Ting Jacky, Class 6C

Six years ago, I went into a room
Where I had my first lesson at my primary school.
I was cheerful and happy,
So my classmate said that I was like a puppy.
Then I saw a lady,
Who was loving and lovely.
She was my English teacher.
Her name was Jennifer Banker.

Miss Banker was fun and patient.
She will not give up teaching students.
Once we went to a music room
Where she gave of us a camera that couldn’t zoom.
It was like a lovely box
So I took a photo with an ox.
I remember what Miss Banker said
And I will miss her in the years ahead.

Miss Sam by Cheung Pui Yee Polly, Class 6C

Five years ago, I went into a beautiful room
Where I had my first lesson at St. Patrick’s School.
I was glad and happy.
But I daydreamt my little puppy.
Then I saw a lady
Who was polite and friendly.
She was my Chinese teacher.
Her name was Miss Sam.

Miss Sam was loving and cheerful.
She loved all her students.
Once we went to the playground
Where she gave me a book called ‘People Go Around’.
It was an interesting book
And my classmate wanted to take a look.
I remember everything Miss Sam said,
I will miss her in the years ahead.

Miss Cooker by Cheng Yi Wai Jassie, Class 6C

Six years ago,
I went into a room,
Where I would have my first lesson very soon.
I felt the fear
So I dropped my tears.

Then I saw a teacher,
Her name was Miss Cooker.
She gave me a pear.
But I thought it was bitter.

Miss Cooker,
You are very clever.
I will remember you
Even After I go to my secondary school.

Miss Chan by Chan Uen Yin Class 6C

Six years ago,
I went into a room,
Where I had my first lesson at primary school.

I was happy,
So I made a friend, Skinny.
Then I saw a lady,
Who was kind and lovely.
She was my ‘friend’.
Her name is Miss Chan.

Miss Chan was patient and fun,
She loved smiling under the sun.
Once we went to a camp
Where she gave each of us a stamp.
It was a big stamp that looked like a rat.
But I lost it and was very sad.
I remember everything Miss Chan said,
And I will miss her when I have left.

OOSH at Dempsey

David and I dined at OOSH at Dempsey in the evening. We sat beside the fountain in the garden. It was fabulous! With the candle on the table, the lavender to keep the bugs off and the natural music of water, nothing could be more relaxing. We ordered two signautre drinks which were OOSH Tini and OOSH Me at around 6:30pm and had a nice chat before we started our dinner. When the sky turned dark gradually, we had Satay, Crayfish and Fruit Salad, and Mushroom Soup (the Chef's Selection). Those were fusion appetizers that made us desire for food. Then we tasted the Australian Beef Tenderloin. Medium done. Great taste! Thick and juicy! From that moment, it was all dark and we saw each other because of the candle light! After that, Tiramisu with wine and Chamomile Tea Panna Cotta were our dessert. But that was not the end. We finished our dinner with two other drinks. They were OOSH Special and Pluck Me. I would say the drinks were nice cocktails but not surprising. However, the food were really wonderful! The worst thing was that it was too dark for us to see the presentation of the dishes! Well, of course, we smelt them! They were mouth-watering.
By the way, customers are not allowed to take photos at OOSH!
Anyway, to dine at OOSH is a must when you visit Singapore. You will like it.

If I could travel back to Old China, I would like to meet Qin Shi Huang (秦始皇). I would thank him and punish him because he built the Great Wall but he burnt all the books! I would ask him why he had to do that.

I would bring a camera with me. It is used for taking photos. I could show my friends how beautiful Old China was!
~ Siu Long Ching Sammi

If we could travel back to Old China, we would like to talk to Tang Tai Zong (唐太宗). He was very kind and he made the world know more about China.

We would bring a good scientist with us because he could design new things for people to use, like lights and telephones. They could make their lives easier and more comfortable.
~ Hung Choi Hang Tina and Choi Ho Yi Zoe

If I could travel back to Old China, I would like to meet my grandma’s mum. My grandma always blames me for being noisy. She says, “You are a girl. You can’t be so noisy! When I was small, I was nice and quiet.” I would ask my grandma’s mum if my grandma was noisy or not!
~ Man Lok Yee Mandy

If I could travel back to Old China, I would bring my big bag. It is used for keeping the funny and lovely things that I could find in Old China. I would bring them back and show them to my friends.

I would like to meet my grandmother too! When she died, I was not born yet! I would ask her, “Do you love your family? Will you love your granddaughter?” I hope she would say YES ! ~Chan Uen Yin Michelle

If I could travel back to Old China, I would like to meet Qin Shi Huang (秦始皇) ! He was clever and he stayed firm all the time. But he did cruel things that made me sad. I would like to tell him stories about Jesus. Perhaps he would become kind and nice to his people. I would beg him not to burn all the books. However, Qin Shi Huang might kill me if he did not want to listen to me. Dangerous mission!

If I were successful, I would show Qin Shi Huang my camera and take photos with him. Then I could prove to the modern Chinese people that he was not that cruel. However, I would not tell them who made Qin Shi Huang a nice emperor.
